Great Lakes Freighter

The lake freighter Sam Laud arrived at Green Bay in the spring of 2009 with a load of coal on a day when I was walleye fishing in the Fox River. These ships are so enormous (Sam Laud is 635' feet long) that recreational boaters and fishermen must pay very close attention, and give them a wide berth.
