At Lac La Belle, in Upper Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, may residents receive their mail at this central location.

Not too far from Copper Harbor, this is just about as far north as you can go in the state of Michigan (not counting Isle Royale).

On my way from Calumet to Lac La Belle on the morning of October 14, 2009, I found myself driving through heavy snowfall; quite a surprise. Sunshine was sparse during my 2009 autumn tour of the UP, making scenic photography a real challenge.
