Cloudy Day at Seney
The Seney National Wildlife Refuge in Michigan's Upper Peninsula covers nearly 100,000 acres. It is a truly beautiful place, where migratory birds pass through in both their spring and autumn migrations. You might think that a bright, sunshine-filled day would be ideal for Seney photography, and that's true during the bird migrations. However, during the summer, when birds are somewhat scarce, a cloudy, stormy day can become a real photographic opportunity, especially when you're working in black and white.
