Sand Point Lighthouse

This image captures the cast iron lantern room and Fresnel lens of the storied Sand Point Lighthouse in Escanaba, Michigan. This lighthouse was in continuous operation from 1868-1939, and has been painstakingly restored by the Delta County Historical Society.

Sand Point Lighthouse was the venue for some truly fascinating historical events. History buffs should consider investigating the lighthouse, and the entire region between Marinette and Rapid River.
